Plein airpainting is the most wonderful thing to do. The wind through the hairs, the sun on the skin. I feel happy painting outside.
The working starts with choosing a good place. That takes quite a time. Then I make a sketch. And at last comes the painting.
Plein airpainting is a challenge. In my studio all things have their own place. I may work there in my own time. But outside I'm dependent of the weather, of the light and the wind.
Outside I'm working with acrylics, just quickly working and with water, that's the most comfortable way for me. Unless it's freezing, then I'll choose the oilpaint.
I got my lessons of Michel van Overbeeke Amsterdam (etching and sketching), Jos Klaver Arnhem (painting), Nono Hoekstra Arnhem (painting and sketching).
